Expected to open in mid-February, the restaurant will offer “slow smoked and fresh grilled meals seasoned with a special dry rub,” according to its Facebook page.
“We plan to please your taste buds with our unique twist on BBQ flavors including a range of sauces to tip it all off!”
Located within walking distance of the Fairfield Metro train station, the restaurant will encompass 4,159 square feet with a patron floor area of 1,783 square feet.
Billing itself as “fast-casual,” Barbacoa aims to deliver cooked-to-order food with a “Mexican overture” to the customer in less than 10 minutes.
The restaurant will be technology driven with digital menu boards, cell phone internet ordering and a heavy bias on delivery, according to town records.
